Harry Potter-The Deathly Hallows, the second part

     The bad guy dies, and the chosen one wins. They are always happy endings. This is mostly the ending of all stories. So the author has to decorate it well, and Joan K. Rolling did a great job on ending the whole story, Harry Potter.

     Lord Voldemort found the elder wand, the most powerful wand. With this, the Lord came to Hogwarts, to kill Harry. This lord, and millions of his people came to the magical school, and people with Harry protected the school. While that, Harry searched and destroyed Voldemort's horcruxes, which were part of Voldemort's spirit. He found out that he was also a hocrux of Voldemort, so he went to the Dark Lord, and chose to die. However, he had the stone that returns life, so Harry could come back as pure 'Harry'. At last, Harry had the three deathly hollows, the elder wand, the stone that returns life, and the transparent cloak. By reflecting Voldemort's magic, Harry killed the Lord, and gained peace in the whole world. He married with Genie, and the seven Harry Potter series ended with Harry sending his son, Albus Severus Potter to Hogwarts.

     The legendary author, Joan Rolling truly brought me into the fantasy of Harry Potter when I was reading the book. I could make a movie in my head itself. I could feel what Harry felt. When he was hurt, I frowned. When he felt fear, I was worried. When he was happy, I smiled too. I think every sentences from this book were ornated with details. Also, as I mentioned, Joan truly made an excellent ending that every readers could enjoy it. I liked the part that Harry did not directly kill Voldemort, but reflected his deathly magic. This was because, It showed that Harry wanted peace, so he was thinking of everyone. The happy ending of not only Harry gaining peace, but him sending his son to Hogwarts made me imagine the new seven years of a shining, young magician, because it was an open ending which made everyone to imagine the rest of the story.

     I am sure that you have read this famous and popular book, but if you have not, I will recommend you to read this fantasy, and make your own creative ending. So, how about being Albus, and making your way in Hogwarts?

Ode to Waffle

Do you know what I taste

When I have a happy face?

It is waffle that I love,

that I like better than a dove.

I am on my way,
in the sunshine ray,
to buy a waffle and an icecream.

The crispy crusts,

I want a glut.

The sweet sugar syrup,

fill me up.

The delicious waffle,

in my mouth I crumble.

So this world with waffle,

is the world of heaven.

I love you waffle.

The Old Lamp

     While digging in the dirt, I found an old dirty lamp. I started to wipe the dirt off, when, suddenly, a genie appeared and promised to grant me three wishes. Firstly, I wished that I could wish any time I wanted to. After that, I remembered that I never liked my father. So I wished for my father to change into a friendlier person who would always get along with me.

     When I first met my father, I felt so fantastic. He was good looking, and always showed concern to me. However, after a week, I found the problem. The new father never worked, and bugged me too much. He also never paid attention or help anyone, except me.

     I realized that I missed my original father. At night, I called the genie from the lamp. I told him, "I was wrong, genie. I am not having a good time with my new father. I miss my original father." So the genie said, " I am sure you want to wish something." I asked, "That is right. Can you please have my father return?" The genie brought my father. Then, I wished, "I want my ability to wish every time, to disappear!" I did not want any other changes and problems in my life, just because of my wishes.

     It was the next morning. I woke up, and went out to the yard, with my father. He was my original father, and he gave a shovel to me. I dug up the ground, and found an old dirty lamp. It looked familiar. I wiped the lamp and a genie appeared, and promised to grant me three wishes. Guess what I did? I told him that I did not need them.

     Now, I am with my father, whom I hated, but who I love the most now. I looked up, and saw my father smiling. I recognized that I had misunderstood my father until now. He was, and is friendly, and always nice. I want to say "Thank you." to the genie of the lamp, because now I realize how I really feel about my father. Now, I love my father. I truly love my father.

    

     How can I forget that one moment? The few minutes have made my experience a golden one.

     I was a little second grader. It was summer vacation, so I was very excited. Like in every vacations, my family decided to go for a short trip this summer, and the destination was Hong Kong. By taking an airplane, we arrived in less than two hours. I even liked being in the airplane, because I loved eating the plane meal. and the stewardess gave me a puzzle to play with. Remember, I was very young. I do not exactly remember the food, but tasting and smelling something so delicious, on top of a creamy cloud that was like a cotton candy felt fantastic.

     After my family arrived, we went sightseeing. The street was filled with skyscrapers, and fancy, colorful buildings. Even at this time, I did not know what I was going to see after a day. We already thought that Hong Kong was very developed, and splendid.

     Then, I tasted some Thai food. You might ask, "Why did you eat Thai food in Hong Kong?" Well, I do not know. I just remember the eating part. I ate the Thai pasta. It was sweet, and I smelled some coconut. I am sure I liked the food. My family and I ate some other foods, but the most thing I remember, is the dessert. I drank my favorite drink, coconut milk for it. The taste was refreshing, and so delicious. I do not know how to express how I felt, but just know that the coconut milk was wonderful.

     On the second day, my family gadded around the city. We saw the ornated street again, and did some eye shopping. Finally, it became dark. For the last thing, my family rode on a large, white boat. Then, the 'one moment' started. The wind was blowing, and I could smell the waving water. Then, I saw, the luminous scene of night. Feeling the breeze, I could see every skyscrapers glowing, with colorful lights. Under that, I saw the deep blue water, reflecting the glistening scene. I will have to say that it was glorious.

    How can I forget this one moment? The few minutes have made my experience to Hong Kong a golden one...

     There can be a surprising accident in your life. I first experienced a car accident when I was in fifth grade. This accident caused a huge effect, which lead me to teach me a big lesson.

     I was the class president, so I went to the class president trip. I made new friends, gained many experiences, and was happy having a time to do something else than the ordinary cycle. After two day, it was the way the going back to Seoul. I was passing something to my friends, and there went an enormous tremor.

    

      I felt a great pain. My head felt like that it had bean hit by a hammer. The bus was not moving. I could see four buses and a car crashed, because they had bumped into each ones. I was in the third bus. Fortunately, no students were hurt very seriously. However, my homeroom teacher, who was sitting just next to the water dispenser, was hit by the big water container.

    

     At school, I could not see my teacher for several months. When our classmates and I heard that the teacher will return to school, we decorated the class with balloons, wrote welcoming messages on the chalkboard, tied ribbons, and so on. However, we became so disappointed because she did not come to school the next day. She was still hurt. Instead of her, other teachers taught us. Their rules were different, they taught in other ways than my original homeroom teacher. We could not adjust to the new state well.

     It was the day my teacher came back. She had a pale face, and looked very tired. However, she was smiling. Every students were surprised, but had happy faces. We saw who we missed so much. We were GLAD.

    

     This event was started by a little car stopping, and a few buses getting crushed. It is serious, but not so much, comparing to my homeroom teacher not coming to school. This event lead to give me a lesson, that teachers influence me a lot. Also, I found out that I had loved my teacher. So, how about you? Do you get my lesson? You should experience an event like mine, but do not get hurt by a car accident!

    

The Star

     What is the star in you? Like everyone else, I have a unique star as well. Hello, my name is Jihyung Park, who is in the sixteenth GLPS summer camp now. I have my parents and my older sister, but everyone in my family is different. Now, I want to introduce some more about my unique, and personal things about me.

     I have so many things to say. Firstly, I was born in Febuary 21st, in Seoul. I go to Daechi Elimentry school, since I was in first grade. However, I lived in Vanouver, Canada for a year, when I was in fourth grade. I went to Laity View Elementary school while living there. Now, I am living in a dormitory with roommates, in KMLA school. After having all of these experiences, I found myself to have a lot of hobbies. Firstly, I like to eat sweet things, like chocolate or cookies. So I became to worry about getting fat. Well, luckily, I like to excercise and play sports. The favourite one is playing volleyball. After exercising, the most thing I like to do is to read books. So I could learn a lot of knowledge, and books helped me to set my goal. It is to be a science teacher. I believe that I will success to be one in the future. So this is mostly about me.

     I breifly introduced myself, about my experiences, hobbies, and my goal. I will make my star grow, and make more unique things about me. I will ask again, what is the star in you?
